Support Groups

Dementia is HARD.. don't try to tackle it alone!

I'm sure you've heard the phrase "There's strength in numbers", well this applies to the basic premise of a support group.  It refers to the fact that a collective group of people, focused on the same goal, can be more powerful and effective than any one individual working alone.

Taking the step to connect with others facing similar challenges fosters an environment of empathy, shared learning and emotional support.  Human beings are just wired for connection.  We will always do better and find strength if we reach out to others.

It's important to find a group that is facilitated by a skilled professional. We encourage you to try a few of them to determine the one that best suits your personality and need.  Whether you are a caregiver, loved one or personally effected by dementia, you will find comfort, empathy, shared wisdom and strength.

Support groups are places where COMPASSIONATE UNDERSTANDING meets STRENGTH.
